This is sweet and creamy full fat milk from Strafford Organic Creamery's herd of guernsey cows. It is fresh, rich and delicious.
Flash pasteurized and homogenized, this milk is not ultra-pasteurized like most dairy you find in the store, and the difference in taste is outstanding. This milk retains its full, sweet flavor - enjoy!
Certified organic.
Strafford Organic Creamery dates their milk with Sell By dates (not Best By dates). Keep their milk in cold refrigeration, and it will last for 10-14 days after the Sell By date. Make sure your fridge temperature is below 40 degrees. Each hour milk is kept above that temperature takes a day off of its shelf life.
Amy and Earl at Strafford Organic Creamery produce their milk with utmost care. They milk between 45 and 60 Guernsey Cows, grow most of their feed, bottle their milk in heavy glass, and deliver it to local stores in Vermont.

Delicious organic local whole milk in a reusable bottle. This stuff is awesome. We get a 1/2 gallon every other week. It always stays good for at least 2 weeks.
Simply the best milk around! I make Yogurt weekly with it and have made ricotta cheese, used it in soups & sauces...and homemade chocolate chip ICE CREAM that is to die for!!
We love this milk. It has the best flavor, that changes slightly from season to season as the cows eat different things. We think it's well worth the extra money for the quality, and buy 2 gallons every two weeks to make yogurt. I'm so thankful that they continue to use glass bottles instead of plastic. I love Stafford products. Such amazing quality.
I guess it's time I started sharing my feedback from the perspective of the health conscientious buyer. Pay attention to {Guernsey Cows, grass fed and organic} keywords in the product description. Those allergic to lactose/milk, make sure you google A1 versus A2 types of cows/milk. This is A2, and my daughter's tummy finally accords with this milk. Be mindful, though, A2 cows have lower yield--I'm mentioning this so that we can understand the price structure.
In addition to best in class taste you get a wealth of vital nutrients you'd be hard pressed to find in your regular American milk--to be perfect it would have to be raw and non-homogenized. For raw milk we, the Boston area buyers, would have to convince our legislators that it's OK to relax the regulations, just as it happens with beer. For the non-homogenized part, I hope the producer reads this and incorporates the feedback, saving a few bucks by skipping the homogenization process.
This milk is simply fantastic. It's our favorite for making yogurt, ricotta, and buttermilk, and it has a great flavor profile for pouring up a big glass too. We highly recommend it!
I made some ricotta cheese from this milk and it was so creamy and sweet, excellent yield too! I am now enjoying the sweet rich whey in smoothies and in baking.
This is how milk should taste like. It reminds me of my childhood when I picked up fresh milk from the farm every day. I also like that it comes in a glass bottle.
This milk is fantastic, creamy and delicious. Fresh as can be and super cute in it's glass bottle. Yum!
