Jack and Anne Lazor started Vermont's original organic dairy in 1979 in Westfield, Vermont with just three cows. Jack, who passed in November of 2020 and is survived by his wife Anne and their daughter, Christine, was a renowned organic farmer and advocate for soil health. In 2019, he and Anne were honored with a Vermont Agricultural Hall of Fame lifetime achievement award. The Lazor family continues to produce outstanding yogurt, heavy cream, buttermilk and kefir from their herd of entirely grassfed Jerseys.
