This is a basic, no nonsense, do-anything bread.
This bread comes in a paper bag to preserve the crust. After cutting, place sliced side down on a cutting board, uncovered, and it will stay fresh for days. If not sliced for several days, you can refresh the loaf by running it under cool water, then heat in a 350 degree oven for 15-20 minutes.
This is our favorite bread of the 8 different FTY breads we have tried. I love dipping it in the butternut squash seed oil: https://farmerstoyou.com/product.php?cPath=26&products_id=1648
Also makes a delicious sandwich, although holey.
Delicious bread! Bonus: the slices look like baby bunnies. ;-)
Our favorite white crusty bread for eating with cheese or as panzanella when it gets a bit stale.
This is our family's favorite bread available from the Farmers. I think we've tried all of them, and this is the one we come back to time and again. It seems to keep slightly longer than our second favorite, the Pain au Levain. We usually have some left to slice for 2-3 days, and this is useable the whole time, if often toasted at the end.
Mild, but still with plenty of flavor and a beautiful crust. It is named in honor of the old town common in Waitsfield Vt.
An uncommon "common" bread that goes equally well with PB and J or with extra-virgin olive oil.
