Dwight Miller Orchards Organic Apple Cider Vinegar is a coveted product here in Vermont. Known as an excellent home remedy for colds and flu, but also a wonderful tasting vinegar for salads, marinades, sauces, and recipes.
Keep at room temperature.
The Miller family has farmed their land for eight generations in East Dummerston, Vermont. They were farming their land before Vermont was even a state, and exemplify how precious our partner families hold their relationship to their farms and land. They have started to diversify beyond apples and fruits to include pasture raised meats as well as organic vegetables.
Certified Organic
I thought the price was a little steep, but then... it turned out to be a whole quart! I was expecting the typical 12 oz bottle. Nice!
This is our default vinegar in the kitchen. Because it is made with a mother, it's got all the good probiotics of active fermentation, unlike distilled white vinegar. And it's local. We actually used it to start our own apple vinegar fermenting with our apple cores.
I really like this vinegar. It's very mild- not super acidic, and has a distinct apple flavor. I will definitely add it to my cold and flu prevention arsenal next winter!
This is a staple in our kitchen. We use it for so many things - in cooking as well as medicinally. Since it's unpasteurized, it contains the healthy bacteria that brands like Braggs promote in their vinegar (those little floaty bits that form over time). Love, love, love that we can get this from a local, organic source.
