Misty Knoll Farms Whole Large Chicken
Misty Knoll chicken is the best tasting chicken from Vermont, and a whole bird goes a long way for a busy family. It can be roasted, and then put in the soup pot for later in the week.
Enjoy within 5 days or freeze for later use.
Keep refrigerated at below 40 degrees for up to a week. Freeze if your plans change and you will not be cooking it within the week. Misty Knoll Poultry comes fresh and should be kept refrigerated and enjoyed or frozen within a week. To thaw meat that has been frozen, place in a sealed bag in a bowl of cool water. Allow at least a day to thaw your poultry prior to cooking. Depending on the size and cut thawing times may vary.
Juicy, but not watery, tasty but not overpowering, this family farm has poultry raising and processing down to an art. The chickens are free to roam throughout spacious, specially designed chicken houses, with access to abundant feed, water and fresh air. As a result of this clean, stress-free environment, the birds are healthier and better tasting. These chickens are fed whole grains with no animal by products and are not treated with any antibiotics or added hormones.

I have never ever had a more delicious chicken than the one from Misty Knolls. We had their turkey too. Their birds are succulent and tender! Even the leftovers are juicy days after! I have done taste tests with a Whole Foods chicken and you can't compare!

One of these chickens finds it's way into our order almost every week. They are the best we've had anywhere--so full of flavor, especially when compared to national-brand birds!
A large bird (5 lbs) contributes to at least 3 meals for our family of 5: we roast it with sides, have leftovers for lunch, and then all the remnants make a fantastic long-simmered bone broth.

This seriously is the best chicken. So incredibly tender and juicy; eating Misty Knoll for the past few years has ruined us for any other brand.

This is, by far, our favorite chicken. It is fresh and flavorful and roasts so well, and then it makes such fantastic stock!

This is the only kind of chicken I get any more. We have two great meals from a whole one (or one terrific meal with guests!), and then get amazing stock from the carcass.
These chickens are so much more flavorful than even the "grain-fed," "organic," "free range," whatever-else chickens that we used to get at the grocery. Those other chickens are just not worth buying.
We are spoiled. Happily so.

This is the best tasting chicken ever! There is no aftertaste, and I noticed my kids eat more of this chicken than any of the others we used to get. And after a roast, there is always soup. Worth every penny!

I have cooked this chicken several times and it is consistently tender. The flavor has no aftertaste like grocery store chickens have. It makes a flavorful, rich broth. I recommend it wholesomely!
