This butternut squash has a sweet, nutty taste similar to that of a pie pumpkin or sweet potato.

Since the description says it tastes a bit like pie pumpkin, I seasoned my soup with pumpkin pie spices, and added milk to round out the flavor. It blended nicely and was really delicious. If I weren’t on a diet it would have been even better with a little cream added.
