Watermelon radish are an heirloom variety of daikon, and their name describes their color scheme, not their flavor. They are mild and slightly sweet, making them perfect for all kinds of uses: pickling, snacking, or slaws. Too tasty to be purely decorative, but they sure are pretty.
Store in a plastic bag in the refrigerator.
These watermelon radishes are a slightly larger variety. The exterior is white with light green shoulders, and the interior a deep pink. Mildy flavored with a hint of pepper they are delicious raw.

Juicy, slightest pepper taste, but not spicy. Great for mid-afternoon snack!
If you, like me, are eating a lot of dressed-up ramen lately, these radishes are the perfect addition. Slice them thin and put them in a bowl with seasoned rice vinegar for a quick and beautiful pickle to top your ramen.
So good and pretty to boot!
Love these radishes! Strikingly beautiful in a salad or laid out with other veggies to dip. Excellent crunch and flavor in a sandwich.
