Watermelon radishes are a fall treat. They are beautifully colored and get their name from their color and pattern when you cut them in half, and they taste wonderfully refreshing; not too spicy, crisp and juicy. These radishes are a slightly larger variety. The exterior is white with light green shoulders, and the interior a deep pink. Mildly flavored with a hint of pepper they are delicious raw.
Store in a plastic bag in the refrigerator.
