This pretty, variegated radicchio is amazing grilled or broiled and pairs well with sausage and cheese. The magenta flecks become more pronounced as the season goes on.

Radicchio is a bitter 'green' with a touch of spice. The leaves are actually a dark red-magenta with a white base and white veins. It grows in a head form similarly to cabbage with loosely wrapped leaves.
