Completely whole grain, moist and flavorful, this bread is the staff favorite at Red Hen.
Certified organic whole wheat flour, water, culture, salt.

This bread comes in a paper bag to preserve the crust. After cutting, place sliced side down on a cutting board, uncovered, and it will stay fresh for days. If not sliced for several days, just run under cool water and heat in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes.
It's amazing that a bread made entirely with whole wheat can be this good. This, and many other breads at Red Hen, are long-fermented and naturally leavened, which improves the nutrient content as well as nutrient and gluten assimilation.
Enjoy this versitile whole grain loaf with butter, olive oil, or cheese. It also makes for a delicious hearty sandwich, or a breakfast toast.

This bread is our dinner every Wednesday night with FTY Cheddar and fresh veggies. It has a sour dough taste to it. We can't get enough of it!

This is awesome bread - great crust that is hard to find. I am only sorry that this is a Wed only item and we normally pick up a different day, I wish this could be available other days too!

This is REALLY good whole wheat bread. It has a lovely chewy exterior and soft, fine, interior. This is the perfect bread to toast with cheddar cheese slices on top.
