Anne Labrusciano makes these delicious bagels in small batches in Marshfield, VT. They are the perfect balance of chew, with a tender crumb and are subtly sweet and salty. Each bag contains a total of 4 bagels: 2 plain and 2 seeded and salt.
Store in a plastic bag at room temperature and enjoy within a couple of days. If they don't disappear within a couple of days, slice and freeze.
Quality ingredients and Anne's skillful handcrafting make these bagels outstanding.Enjoy these excellent bagels with butter and jam, or cream cheese, toasted or not. One of our favorites here at Farmers to You is a sandwich of cream cheese, thinly sliced red onion, tomato, basil, salt and pepper.
These are reasonably good, but not great bagels. If you're near Boston or the North Shore, you can get better bagels and for half the price at places like Katz' Bagels in Chelsea or even Bagel World. ~$1.70/bagel is high compared to Katz', for instance, that are $10 for a baker's dozen (13 bagels).
I look for a good crunch on the outside and a real strong, chewy texture on the inside. These aren't quite there.
These are so good, especially the everything ones. So glad FTY added them!
Don't forget us Thursday folks--those bagels are delicious!
