We are so pleased to offer this seasonal item from Strafford Creamery. This is not your average nog; fresh, creamy and not too sweet. They can't keep up with demand for this stuff so it remains limited stock.
Bottle Returns: Once you have enjoyed your delicious, Strafford eggnog, thoroughly rinse the bottle and return it to your site host at pick-up. Your host will keep track of your milk bottle returns and the bottle return balance will be applied to your next order.
When asked to describe her Eggnog for Farmers To You Families, owner/farmer Amy Huyffer wrote, "Our egg nog is really simple, fresh cream and milk blended with some sugar, fresh eggs and egg yolks, and a touch of nutmeg. We don't use any emulsifiers like carageean, lecithin, or guar gum. We hand-crack fresh organic eggs just before they go through the pasteurizer. The whole creamery smells like nutmeg. Jay and Steve put on Elvis' Christmas album and bottle the eggnog with spirit."
Wonderful as is, or combined with bourbon or whiskey for a seasonal treat!
We love this eggnog and look forward to it every year! Best I've ever had.
Very good. I like the attempt at an organic, locally made eggnog. However, it still doesn't meet the standard of a homemade eggnog I have had. The Strafford eggnog uses only egg yolks rather than whole eggs. Perhaps that is what keeps it from being as rich and thick as that homemade eggnog I had. I don't know. So this is a very good commercial eggnog. I'm not sure, at ~$12/quart, that it's worth the cost over some other premium eggnogs I have had.
