These old fashioned varieties of corn are sweet, creamy and juicy and harvested before their sugars start to turn to starch.
Store in the refrigerator in a plastic bag until ready to eat.
Put the pot on the stove! Both David from River Berry Farm and George from Dog River Farm grow amazing sweet corn.
These farms do not grow the new super sweet varieties popular at supermarkets but much prefer (as we do) the old fashion sweet varieties such as Silver Queen, Sweet Rhythm, Butter and Sugar. Sweet corn is best fresh, so enjoy within a couple of days of harvest for the sweetest flavor.
