This brown rice is a variety of short-grain rice traditionally grown in northern Japan, high in fiber, nutty and sweet. This is fresh-crop rice, which means faster cooking and sweeter flavor than the brown rice you're used to.
It was grown in the Champlain Valley of Vermont using the "duck-rice" method of integrated farming, with no synthetic pesticides or fertilizers of any kind.
Store in a cool, dark place.
This rice is milled to order, but for best flavor use within one month.
