Cathy Bacon founded her business in 2008, aiming to support the creation, development and co-packing of allergen-free foods which maximized the use of Vermont products. Her facility is certified organic, kosher and gluten free.
From top to bottom, Hillside Lane Farm keeps a focus on its environmental impact, from using locally raised agricultural ingredients and working with local farmers to compost food waste from production activities, to using existing and established trucking lines, therefore not adding to fuel and energy consumption. The copacking facility was completely retrofitted and insulated during construction, and heat generated from our processing and storage equipment minimizes fuel consumption.
