Mary and Eric founded Joe's Brook Farm in 2009, a valley over from the Barnet, VT dairy farm where Mary was raised. At that point, Joe's Brook Farm consisted of a garden and a small tomato greenhouse. All product was sold through a single farmers market.
Over the years, they have taken steps to grow their production and markets, and they currently grow about 10 acres of vegetables and 1.5 acres of strawberries. In 2012 they made the decision to certify organic. Over the years they have sought to maintain a commitment to community stewardship, the local economy, and organic principles while offering the highest quality vegetables and berries at a fair price. Today, they farm with their two young daughters and a wonderful crew of hardworking, veggie loving farmers.
