The only tricky part about this dinner is getting a side dish done as quickly as the ham!
Ingredients:
1 1 - 2 lb ham steak
2 T butter
1 T dijon mustard
1 T cider vinegar
2 T maple syrup
pinch of peperoncini
Warm a skillet over medium-high heat.
Melt 1 T of the butter in the pan, then add your ham steak (cut into individual servings if you like).
Cook each side of the ham for 2 - 3 minutes, or until browned, then remove the ham to a plate to rest.
Turn down the heat slightly, then add the remaining 1 T of butter.
Once that has melted, whisk in the mustard, maple, vinegar and peperoncini, if using, and allow to warm for a minute or 2.
Add the ham back to the pan, coat in the glaze, then flip.
Cook the ham for 2 - 3 minutes, until browned, then flip and brown the other side.
Once caramelized all over, plate and enjoy, with what remains of the glaze on top.
