Union Brook Farm is a female owned and operated farm in Northfield, VT. Emily and Rose both grew up in the suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts, and their paths crossed in 2015 while working at Maple Wind Farm in Huntington, VT. Rose and Emily have been a team ever since that first summer and have dedicated their lives to creating community around nutritious and delicious food by starting a small poultry operation together in 2017. The purchase of Union Brook Farm was the culminating event that allowed them to begin advancing their pursuit of those dreams. They raise livestock on pasture including sheep, pigs, chickens and ducks. In the summertime, they utilize a rotational grazing system for all of their animals, and their egg layer flock is brought to fresh grass daily. During the wintertime, they are fed fresh hay and grain.
