The Simmering Bone seeks to provide access to healthy, nourishing food that supports optimal growth, development and general health. The concept is a broth-based company utilizing bones from grass-grazed Vermont animals that live as close to the way nature intended as possible and sourcing produce from 100% organic farms that value and practice ecological responsibility and sustainability.
Their focus on extracting as much healing collagen as possible is what sets The Simmering Bone apart from other broth companies. When cold, their broth is the consistency of jell-o, a key indicator of an abundance of collagen. Don't worry, that jiggly mass heats to a delicious, soul-warming liquid and is meant to be sipped straight, just like coffee or tea. They are committed to total and complete transparency and a plastic-free existence and vow the highest of standards in both product and process. These small batch broths are made with love in South Burlington, VT.
Their beef bones come from the collective efforts of three wonderful organic and pasture-raised farms: Tamarlane Farm, Luna Bleu Farm and Back Beyond Farm. The chicken comes from Maple Wind Farm (another Farmers to You Partner Farm), and the pork comes from organic Full Moon Farm. The lamb comes from three wonderful farms: HighFields Farm, High Ridge Meadows Farm and Stark Hollow Farm.
