Vermont Bee Balm Craftsbury, VT

Farmer/Producer Website

Made in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, Vermont Bee Balm is owned and operated by Julie Brochu and her husband, Kelly. In the mid-80s, Julie was working as a nursing assistant and had an allergic reaction to her latex gloves, leaving her hands raw and blistered. Unable to find the relief she needed from the recommended products at the store, she decided to take matters into her own hands (literally!) and combined beeswax and olive oil to create a natural, healing and protective balm. Vermont Bee Balm started small-- creating balms in small batches for friends and family, but as its popularity grew, so did the company. Julie and Kelly are the only employees at Vermont Bee Balm, and they still make their products in small batches. The beeswax in their products is sourced from Vermont Apiaries, and they never use gluten, tree nuts or peanut oil in their products. Vermont Bee Balm products only contain two or three ingredients, and their products are versatile and soothing even for the most sensitive skin.
