Packed with protein, these lentils make a great addition to soups, stews and grain salads. They are grown together with a grain to provide winter ground cover and weed suppression. Therefore they are not a gluten free food and there is a possibility of finding a stray kernel of wheat or barley. They cook down slightly softer than french lentils.
Store in dry storage, in a bag or a glass jar.
