The flavor of this unique brassica is similar to broccoli and cauliflower, and it's flower buds grow in the form of fractals. Utterly delicious and striking when roasted.
Store in the refrigerator.
I had seen these before in a farmers market in Philadelphia once and was really captured by the beauty of this vegetable, the fractals. I had never eaten them before.
They were offered up at my Farmers To You pickup and I was intrigued enough to buy them and take a chance. My wife and I LOVED them.
I steamed them, then ladled a sauce I had made with herbs, oil, a little bit of cheese, and diced pickled radishes over them. Fantastic.
Amazing! My family loved it! Gentler than broccoli and most interesting than regular cauliflower. Adorable flowerettes that look like little Christmas trees. Please carry this more often.
