La Vialla is the largest Demeter-certified surface area in Europe, a family-run organic and biodynamic farm. This stunning pesto is a simple weeknight dinner solution, or that extra-special ingredient that can kick your soup, stew, or sauce up a notch or two... or several!
This is a relatively small jar of very densely flavored red pesto. Both the viscosity is dense as well as the flavor. This will go a long way. I tried putting it on bread and it was, in fact, too intense for eating it straight. But I imagine that with pasta, it will be great (which is something I will will attempt soon).
This is so delicious. The pecorino does make it a touch on the salty side, so pair with unsalted crackers, or pita, or sourdough, or….just so glad I tried this.
This pesto is packed with so much flavor... it's hard to decide whether to eat it all in a couple of meals or to stretch it out with a dollop on everything. It is definitely not your average pesto.
