Strafford Organic Creamery Organic 2% Milk
This 2% milk from Strafford has a rich, creamy taste.
Bottle Returns: Once you have enjoyed your delicious, Strafford milk, thoroughly rinse the bottle and return it to your site host at pick-up. Your host will keep track of your milk bottle returns and the bottle return balance will be applied to your next order.
Store in the refrigerator. Make sure your fridge temperature is below 40 degrees. Each hour milk is kept above that temperature takes a day off of its shelf life.
Flash pasteurized and homogenized, this milk is not ultra-pasteurized like most dairy you find in the store and the difference in taste is outstanding. Ultra-pasteurization heats the milk to a higher temperature, extending the shelf life, but in turn kills the fresh flavor and imparts a 'cooked' taste. This milk retains it's full, sweet flavor, enjoy! Amy and Earl at Strafford Organic Creamery produce their milk with utmost care. They milk between 45 and 60 Guernsey Cows, grow most all their feed, bottle their milk in heavy glass, and deliver it to local stores in Vermont. They insist on keeping their operation small so they can assure the best quality through the use of sustainable practices such as rotational grazing. Enjoy this milk on it's own, in coffee, tea, with granola, in pancakes and so much more! Strafford Organic Creamery dates their milk with Sell By dates (not Best By dates). Keep their milk in cold refrigeration, and it will last for at least one week after the Sell By date. Certified Organic Flash Pasteurized

I love this milk. It's the only kind of milk that doesn't leave a weird coating in my throat when I drink it plain.

Excellent milk! We order the 2% every week. It is a joy to have such fresh milk and to get it in glass bottles that are returnable. And it is a joy to drink milk from cows who are well cared for and have been allowed to live a good life. Thank you Strafford Creamery!

We also love the taste of this milk! It tastes almost thick, it is so rich (though it is NOT thick...just delicious...). Just wish it came in a smaller size - this is too much for just the two of us!

This milk is so good (gotta love the glass bottles) that we bought a yogurt maker and yogurt starter from King Arthur Flour and have begun making our own maple-vanilla yogurt out of it. It comes out like the most delicate custard--not tangy at all, and unlike anything one would buy that has to be transported any distance. Spectacular.
