Walden Rye is Square Deal Farm's finest organic maple syrup, aged in charred white oak rye whiskey barrels. It has a distinct maple flavor with characteristic rye overtones. Notes of oak, vanilla and butter predominate a long, sweet finish.
Store in a cool place and refrigerate after opening.
This stuff is decadent and so worth the splurge. Can be used sparingly and still change the flavor profile of a dish. Great for ice cream/desserts as well as breakfast. We've even used it to lessen the bite of a spicy chili. Will probably order more as a gift.
