Bottle Returns: Once you have enjoyed your delicious, Strafford milk, thoroughly rinse the bottle and return it to your site host at pick-up. Your host will keep track of your milk bottle returns and the bottle return balance will be applied to your next order.
Store in the refrigerator.
This Half and Half is not ultra-pasteurized like most cream you find in the store and the difference in taste is outstanding. Ultra-pasteurization heats the cream to a higher temperature, extending the shelf life, but in turn kills the fresh cream flavor and imparts a 'cooked' cream taste. This cream retains it's full, sweet flavor, enjoy! Amy and Earl at Strafford Organic Creamery produce their milk and cream with utmost care. They milk between 45 and 60 Guernsey Cows, grow most all their feed, bottle their milk in heavy glass, and deliver it to local stores in Vermont. They insist on keeping their operation small so they can assure the best quality through the use of sustainable practices such as rotational grazing. SO good! I use it in coffee, on oatmeal, and in cooking and it is worth it. Much better than what's available in the grocery stores.

I love getting dairy in glass bottles. This is the perfect size (quantity) of cream for our family. The taste is great, and, in spite of getting dragged home after school, carpool, etc. (I try to bring my cooler every week...) it seems to stay fresh LONGER than my supermarket brand. I'm very happy with this product.

I grew up in a part of Wisconsin where there were lots of Golden Guernseys, and their milk is especially smooth and rich. This half and half is so sweet (dairy-sweet, not sugar-sweet) and creamy. We love it. I make a small cup, warmed, with a touch of maple syrup, for my daughter at bedtime. I put it in sauces when I cook. I usually prefer milk in my coffee, but this half and half doesn't have that slimy texture that commercial brands have--it's light and smooth and wonderful. And the little glass bottles--they remind me that our cream comes from actual Vermont people--Amy and Earl, in fact--who care about their farm, their cows, and their customers.
