Muesli

Winter weekday mornings can be a dark, grumpy rush; having meusli on hand can save the day.

Grate in half an apple, pour some warmed maple milk over the top and you are good to go until afternoon.

Muesli also makes delicious overnight oats, if you really only have time to grab a jar from the fridge.

Ingredients:

4 cups rolled oats (or half oats, half Ancient Grains cereal)
1 cup chopped dates
1/2 cup raisins (or half raisins, half cranberries)
1 cup sliced almondsĀ 
1 cup chopped walnuts or pepitas

Mix all of the ingredients together in a large bowl, then decant to a large jar.

Will keep for several weeks in a cool dark place.
