Cara and John Plowden live in Northfield Vermont. John is a partner in Third Branch Horse Logging and also a fine furniture and cabinet maker. When Cara needed a cutting board, John showed her how to make them; together they search through their kiln dried wood to find the most beautiful pieces to turn into cutting boards.
Wood is sourced, horse logged, sawn by John, and shaped, all within a 20 mile radius. They prioritize forest ecology, soil health and water quality in their harvest practices, remaining mindful that the forest is vital to our health and the health of the landscape.
