Knoll Farm in Fayston, Vermont has been growing certified organic berries since 2004. Eight different varieties of highbush blueberries grow on a steep hillside overlooking the Green Mountains, along with raspberries, elderberries, pears, and cherries. A flock of Icelandic sheep, raised for breeding stock, meat and wool is intentionally grazed through 30 acres of open land while another 120 acres of forest is managed for maple sugaring, firewood and wildlife habitat. Knoll Farm has a busy farm store and pick-your-own orchard in the summer months as well as a retreat center, known as The Refuge at Knoll Farm, that is known nationally as a place where leadership, relationships, and well being are given space to flourish.
