Frozen Spirulina Cubes

This is a bag of individually wrapped cubes of frozen spirulina. Each cube has its own wrapper for easy use and added insulation.
Spirulina cubes weigh an average of 10 grams, or about a tablespoon, and is equal to a daily portion.

Storage Tips

Keep cubes frozen until ready to use.
If you use in a food or drink - consume right away or keep refrigerated for a couple of days.

This nutrient dense food consists of over 60% protein by weight (the highest of any food) and contains all of the essential amino acids, making it a complete protein.
Consuming raw spirulina is ideal for optimum nutrient availability, with fresh-frozen spirulina following closely behind. Most commonly available isdried spirulina, however, the process of drying reduces its integrity. Water content is extremely important to digestion and bioavailability of the vitamins and minerals that naturally occur in spirulina.
Spirulina has B Vitamins, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Vitamin K as well as antioxidants and fatty acids. It is an excellent source of beta-carotene, full of chlorophyll and a beneficial blue pigment called phycocyanine. It has high levels of iron, calcium, phosphorous, potassium, manganese, magnesium, selenium, iodine, and zinc.
