Oyster Mushroom Jerky

Chewy and satisfying, this jerky is a real treat.

Ingredients:

1 7oz package oyster mushrooms
1/4 t salt
1/4 t garlic powder
1/4 t paprika
1 t soy sauce
1 t maple cider syrup
1/4 t cider vinegar
1 T oil
red pepper flakes, to taste

Preheat oven to 225.

Mix everything but the mushrooms together in a shallow bowl.

Tear or cut the mushrooms in more or less evenly-sized pieces.

Add the mushrooms to the marinade and make sure they are evenly coated.

Let the mushrooms marinate while the oven heats up.

Line or lightly oil a baking sheet, then place the mushroom pieces in a single layer and pop them into the oven.

Bake for one hour, then flip, and return to the oven for another hour.

These are delicious straight from the oven, but even better after a sit in the fridge for a few days.
