This bread comes in a paper bag to preserve the crust. After cutting, place slice side down on a cutting board, uncovered, and it will stay fresh for days. If not sliced for several days, just run under cool water and heat in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes.
We ordered this because we don’t like great breads to be sliced for us—and this is a great bread. We can’t seem to stop eating it. It’s beautiful to look at and an amazing crust and texture. Thank you for offering it.

Although I love the taste and crunch of seeds and whole grains, my aging digestion doesn't do well with that. This bread has whole grain taste but is easily digested. It hold the butter well. We tend to toast it.
This is a hearty loaf that is Red Hen's take on the country loaves of Europe. Full flavored, yet not too dense, this bread is especially good with sharp cheeses. Like many other Red Hen Breads, this loaf is long fermented and naturally leavened, for increased nutrition, gluten assimilation and flavor.
