BrickHaus Tilsit is a distant relative of the Havarti family, medium firm with a smooth texture, and rich with buttery and fruity notes. It is also a terrific melter (think grilled sandwiches, pastas, and on top of chili.)
Once opened, re-wrap cheese in waxed paper and seal in a plastic bag. Cheese should keep for a couple of weeks after opening, but if mold forms simply cut it off.
