Is owned and operated by Kagen Dewey and Elise Magnant. Kagen and Elise have been farming in Plainfield since 2018 on leased land at Littlewood Farm. With the addition of our very own farm property on Maple Hill in 2023, they are excited to make Plainfield/Marshfield their permanent home and continue supplying healthy produce to their community.
They grow their produce with ecological mindfulness, making use of cover cropping and regionally sourced manure to feed the soil and strategic crop rotations/ co-plantings for managing pests and disease. Kagen and Elise see their farm from a holistic perspective, with food production and themselves as part of the ecosystem. They certify their crops through Vermont Organic Farmers and with the Real Organic Project.
