These are fresh, hot, field-grown jalapeno peppers. Cook with them fresh, or quick pickle and add to tacos or burritos, or dry them in a low oven to have on hand all winter.
Store in a plastic bag in the refrigerator.
The membrane and the seeds hold the heat in these peppers, so for a more mild spice remove the seeds. Also beware that the oil from the pepper's seeds, skin and flesh holds heat and to wash your hands thoroughly after handling or wear gloves.
