A lovely apple (and parent of the Honeycrisp) with antique-looking russeted markings and crisp, juicy, light yellow flesh.

Fresh apples are best stored in the fridge in a paper bag.
I got a bag in my last order. They're okay, but I wouldn't say I love them. They're crisp and a bit on the sweet side, ever so slightly tart. But the problem is their lack of level of or intensity of flavor. Their flavor is quite watered down relative to some of the more full flavored apples I have had.
So they're okay, but they are not fantastic.Unlike one of the other reviews, the ones I got are not "packed with flavor".
These apples are SO delicious! They are packed with flavor, sweet but also with a tang. Very crispy!
Bill and Andrea at Champlain Orchards are committed to ecological practices and are Eco-Apple certified. Due to the challenges of our Northeast climate, organic certification of apples is incredibly difficult. Their apples are never sprayed; only in the flowering stage are the trees treated using Integrated Pest Management to cut down on the risk of scab. No chemical pesticides are used on the orchards.
