Homemade Nutella

Perfect for adding to crepes or pancakes, or eating by the spoonful....

Ingredients:

2 cups raw hazelnuts
1/4 cup cocoa powder

1/3 cup maple syrup
1.5 t vanilla
1/4 t salt
milk, if necessary to achieve smooth consistency

Roast hazelnuts in a  350 degree oven for 10-15 minutes, until they start to brown.

Remove from the oven, allow to cool, and then rub them in a clean towel to remove as much of the skins as possible.

Add them to the bowl of a food processor or high speed blender and add the rest of the ingredients.

Mix until desired consistency is reached; if it seems too think, add a little milk of choice or oil while blending.

Store in refrigerator if you do use milk... and if you do have any left over!
