Dear Farmers To You Families,
This is a difficult letter to write, but I need to ask for your help. With razor-thin margins and an innovative—yet complex—distribution model, our business is challenging in the best of times. With inflation and recent economic turmoil, Farmers To You has come uncomfortably close to the edge. We need your help to get us to breakeven and beyond so that we can continue to bring you the healthiest, highest quality food available.
The dedicated Farmers To You team has poured heart and soul into building this incredible local food partnership, and I still believe it can and will work. But we need more committed families to join us. And we need larger orders.
Please read the suggestions below and do as many as you can:
- If you don’t already order weekly, try to order more often—that can make an enormous difference! Simply replace more supermarket items with Farmers To You food. With over 500 fantastic items to choose from, this is easy to do—and rewarding.
- Order just $10 more each week. If all our partner families did this, we would reach our goal.
Spread the word. Even if you are not comfortable “selling” Farmers To You to friends and neighbors, try posting more broadly to local Facebook groups, listservs, workplace community boards, etc. Shout it from the rooftops! So many people have yet to discover Farmers To You and don’t know what they’re missing.
For inspiration, here are a couple of testimonials we’ve heard recently:
“The day I get my delivery of food from Farmers To You is the best day of the week. I have come to rely on that amazing food (and the time saved by getting it delivered to my home) to stock my fridge and get me through the week making great meals for my family. I cannot recommend Farmers To You enough.”
“When my wife was diagnosed with cancer, we decided to make clean, healthy food a real priority. To say that Farmers To You has been a lifesaver during this difficult time is not an exaggeration. This organization—the food, the service, and the care they take with everything from sourcing to packing to delivering our food—has enriched our lives.”
A heartfelt thank you to all our loyal customers for your ongoing commitment. With just a bit of extra support, we can continue to provide you and your families with exceptional, local, nutrient-rich food.
Finally, I love hearing from you—please don’t hesitate to reach out with thoughts or suggestions, including referrals to any organizations or individuals who could support our food model.
With immense gratitude,
Greg
