Rebecca grew up eating halvah, but as an adult became disenchanted by the ingredients in typical commercial halvah. For many years she attempted to make the perfect recipe, on her quest to create a halvah without any additional or unnecessary ingredients. Eventually (finally!) she perfected a recipe using only FOUR ingredients, with the superstar being local Vermont maple syrup. Now Rebecca and her partner Shaun create Holy Halvah in tiny batches, completely by hand, every step of the way. They are devoted to simple, whole food ingredients and therefore Holy Halvah is made with only organic sesame tahini, Vermont maple syrup, sea salt, pure vanilla, and nothing more. Holy Halvah is creamy, flaky, and a bit chewy. It is sweet and salty, and offers an amazing energy boost. Rebecca and Shaun find tremendous joy in making this beautiful whole food, and get even more joy out of watching it be devoured by loyal Holy Halvah lovers.
