Sobremesa is a family-run fermented foods company located at Wild Rhythms Farm, nestled in the rolling hills of central Vermont. Husband and wife team, Jason and Caitlin Elberson, specialize in creating delicious fermented foods such as kimchi, sauerkraut and seasonal products using produce from their farm and other Vermont farmers. Their mission is to provide you with local food year-round, by utilizing the time honored methods of traditional fermentation to nourish the body, mind and soul throughout the seasons.
They started by growing all of their ingredients but quickly realized that they were unable to keep up with growing everything. This led them to beginning developing relationships with a number of their farmer friends, and they are proud to support organic farmers in this state through their small business. Produce for their products is sourced primarily from the following certified organic VT farms: Full Moon Farm, Pete's Greens, Bear Roots Farm, Friends & Neighbors Organic Farm and Last Resort Farm.
