Some folks enjoyed their Thanksgiving turkey so much that they wanted another one for December! These turkeys are FROZEN, and will need more than one day to defrost for Christmas dinner, so we are only offering them this week.
This turkey will arrive frozen. If you have the time, place it in the fridge to defrost (this will take couple of days), or you can immerse it in tepid water in the packaging to expedite the thawing process.
Naturally Raised Turkeys
Misty Knoll starts the turkeys in a large brooder house, sheltered from the elements, until they are capable of withstanding Vermont's cool nights. Then the flocks are moved to open barns with plenty of room and sunlight, whole grains and fresh water. Allowed to grow naturally to size, these turkeys are robust and meatier than other turkeys found at the supermarket - naturally grown birds take longer to mature, but the resulting flavor is well worth it.
Just before the Holidays the birds are processed on-site which means they sustain much less stress, and each bird is hand inspected for superior quality.
