Storage Tips
Store in the refrigerator. Make sure your fridge temperature is below 40 degrees. Each hour milk is kept above that temperature takes a day off of its shelf life.

Strafford Organic Creamery, Strafford, VT

Flash pasteurized and homogenized, this milk is not ultra-pasteurized like most dairy you find in the store and the difference in taste is outstanding. Ultra-pasteurization heats the milk to a higher temperature, extending the shelf life, but in turn kills the fresh flavor and imparts a 'cooked' taste. This milk retains it's full, sweet flavor, enjoy!
Amy and Earl at Strafford Organic Creamery produce their milk with utmost care. They milk between 45 and 60 Guernsey Cows, grow most all their feed, bottle their milk in heavy glass, and deliver it to local stores in Vermont. They insist on keeping their operation small so they can assure the best quality through the use of sustainable practices such as rotational grazing. At this point in time, they are the only private bottlers of organic milk in Vermont.
Enjoy this milk on it's own, in coffee, tea, with granola, in pancakes and so much more!
Strafford Organic Creamery dates their milk with Sell By dates (not Best By dates). Keep their milk in cold refrigeration, and it will last for at least one week after the Sell By date.

Finally! A smaller bottle of milk from FtY!

I prefer to get my milk from Farmers to You for all the reasons others shop here. I find it stays fresh longer (past the printed date) than what I buy in the store. That said, my kids are lactose intolerant and my husband doesn't use any milk (not a coffee drinker or cereal eater.) But for me, I do best enjoy real dairy cow's milk for those times that I do use something in coffee, cereal, or recipes.

If I could have anything, I'd get the Creamline (not homogenized) milk in a mere PINT size, but a quart is at least within the realm of possibility for my limited use. Thanks for carrying one, at last!
