Chioggia Beets are a lighter red on the outside, and are striped in a circular pattern of pink and white on the inside. Wonderfully sweet and tender.
Store beets in a plastic bag in the refrigerator.
Native to Italy, this variety of beet adds sweet, earthy flavor as well as a stunning visual accent to a meal. The lighter coloring of chioggia's won't leave your hands or cutting boards purple as red beets sometimes do.
