Green Mountain Lavender is set on 14 acres in the beautiful hills of Springfield, VT. Established in 2024, owners Nigel and Rosamund Conroy grow eight different varieties of lavenders totaling almost 4,000 plants. GML grows six true lavenders, from the Lavandula angustifolia species ( Hidcote, Munstead, Sachet, Folgate, Big Time Blue and Royal Velvet).
GML also grows one variety of Lavandin, 'Phenomenal;' a hybrid or 'French lavender' from the Lavandin X Intermedia species. 'Phenomenal' is hardy to Vermont and grows in heady, fragrant spikes perfect for sachets, bouquets and other fragrance based lavender products. No pesticides are ever used on their lavenders.
