A river valley family farm now in its 10th generation, Warner Farm utilizes growing practices that nourish the soil and promote the health and biodiversity of the land and the surrounding area. They implement a variety of sustainable growing practices, ranging from USDA Certified Organic methods to Integrated Pest Management (IPM) systems, while everything is 100% GMO free. Warner Farm maintains 25 acres in Certified Organic production, and has several additional fields currently in the three-year transition period to become certified. In order to promote soil fertility, they implement crop rotations and a zone tillage program that alleviates weed pressure, keeps nutrients in the soil, prevents soil erosion, improves field drainage, and reduces the use of fossil fuels on the farm. Additionally, 70 acres of the farm are preserved through the Massachusetts Agricultural Preservation Restriction Program.
