Bear Roots Farm is a year-round, certified organic, diversified vegetable farm. The farm is located in Williamstown, just 20 minutes from Montpelier, and their wonderful farm stand store is just down the road from Farmers to You HQ!
Karin and Jon do not use synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides and follow the strict guidelines of the USDA. They keep detailed records of harvest, transplant, and seeding. creating transparency for customers and certifying agents.
At Bear Roots Farm they have chosen not to use specific organic sprays, going beyond the federal regulations. They don't spray copper on tomato plants, for example, because they don't want heavy metals building up in their soil.
