These round black radishes are larger than a typical red radish. The skin is a dark charcoal color surrounding a white flesh interior. Crisp, juicy with a little spice!
Store in a plastic bag in the refrigerator.
Sweeter, juicier, spicier, and a bit tougher than "normal" radishes. A bit of an ugly duckling but I much prefer them to their prettier cousin the watermelon radish.
These are delicious! I did marinate them for a bit in a vinegar/salt/sugar mixture, then added them to a salad: perfect! They are also beautiful, with the black and white contrast.
If the spice is too much for your palate, peel the skin away for less heat.
