Blush onions are a beautiful cross between yellow and red onions which have been grown in France for centuries. Now we, too, can enjoy this slightly sweet, somewhat pungent variety.
These onions should be stored in a cool, dry, dark place.
Onions need to be kept weed free all season, then they are harvested on a dry day, taking care that the bulbs are not sunburned. They are then hung to dry, or stacked in wooden crates, with plenty of ventilation.
