This honey sweetened jam is made from European and Japanese plums from the towns of Cornwall and Shoreham in Addison County, Vermont. Plum jam is a versatile preserve that easily transitions from sweet to savory depending on how it's used. Spread it on toast, top your ice cream, or make a tasty sauce for meat dishes. The possibilities are endless!
Refrigerate after opening.
Honey sweetened preserves made without the use of added pectin allows the texture and temperament of each fruit to shine through. V Smiley Preserves are made in wide copper jam pans from hand cut fruit. One pot of jam produces 6-10 jars of preserves and some batches take up to 3 days to produce. Each finished jar of preserves contains about 1 lb. of fruit.
My mom used to make Damson Plum jam from trees growing next door to us (with fruit given to us by our neighbors). Plum has always been my favorite flavor of jam.
This one is outSTANDing. Could you find one less expensive? Possibly. For relative value, it is not cheap. I probably waste it by putting on a PB'n'J sandwich, but the flavor is a perfect one for cutting through as well as complementing other flavors. Well done, V Smiley.
The best jam I have ever tasted. Totally addicted to this quality product with lumps of fruit in a not too sweet plum/honey jam. Highly recommended, many uses, but I like it best on toast :)
This plum jam is the most amazing and flavorful jam I have ever tasted--perhaps the best item FTY sells! After putting it atop the sheep cheese, I fought to urge to grab a spoon and eat the rest of the jar. I've also mixed it into the sheep yogurt.
