This is Red Hen's version of Panettone: the traditional Italian holiday treat that is somewhere between bread and cake and features an assortment of dried fruit. This Panettone comes as a 9-10 ounce loaf. Unlike most Panettone you'll find today, this one is naturally leavened. We feel that this accents the flavors of the fruits much better than the more common yeasted versions.
We enjoyed this panettone (and and the chocolate cranberry as well) so very much - maybe the best we have tried. Toasted with grass feed butter - heavenly. Thanks RH and FTU!
Many of the ingredients are Certified Organic and there are no hydrogenated fats, just pure Vermont butter and local eggs. And it's all organic, except for the eggs and butter (which are local, as wholesome as it gets and come from people we know) and the salt which is, of course, of the Earth.
